You might not be able to take your kids to the North Pole to visit Santa and his elves, but you can bring the elves to you through the new live-streaming ElfLive app, where kids can live chat with a real elf!
Moments after opening the ElfLive app, kids will be warmly greeted by a cheerful live elf who will help kids discover all the fun there is to have within the app!
I took the app for a trial run when it first came out to see if it was really a live elf, and it was! This isn’t one of those pre-recorded videos where they dub your name in and everyone is actually seeing the same video.
ElfLive is legit. You and your kids will be live streaming and interacting with a real North Pole elf.
Since Santa needs to know what kids want for Christmas, the elf will show them how to make a personal Wishtagram Christmas list!
I made a Wishtagram for our cat Mony which included a puppy.
Mony was not amused.
(So I turned her into an elf named Grinchy on the app.)
The neighbor kids, Molly and Zak, helped me try the app on a couple of different days and each time we got a new elf with a unique personality. There was an elf named Sugarplum Sam who really, really liked drinking from a hilariously oversized mug of hot cocoa. Molly couldn’t stop giggling at that!
Sugarplum Sam loved Molly’s kitty wishtagram too, and shared it with everyone. Kids choose the background, presents they’d like from Santa and then decorate it however they’d like. Adorable!
Our favorite elf was named Candy Brandy. She made us laugh when she talked about all the different kinds of flavored snows they have at the North Pole: blueberry, pickle juice and mustard! She said it was her job to get rid of the yellow mustard snow because nobody liked it.
Zak made his own wishtagram and found another cool way to decorate it. There’s also a palette of paint colors kids can use to write, draw or even spray on their canvas.
That’s not all there is to do in the interactive ElfLive app. The elves can also help you create:
Elfie- a selfie but elf-i-fied
Elf Name Meme – Your name, only elf-ier.
Reindeer Meme – Your chance to discover which reindeer you’re most like.
Digital Christmas Card – Your holiday greeting to the ones you love.
We also sang Christmas carols, played games and shared jokes. You can ask questions at any time and the elf will answer them too!
Oh, and one more cool thing. On Christmas Eve, kids can track Santa through the Santa Tracker with a Santa cam, GPS tracking and elf commentary. What a fun way to bring in Christmas!
Who would you love to surprise with a virtual visit to the North Pole and a chat with a jolly elf in the ElfLive app?
