Sauder, can you help me?
My bookshelves are chaotic and bursting (much like my mind,) but I’ve heard tell that the Sauder Experience can tame this type of madness.
Cuz I can’t even.
That was me pleading with Sauder to help bring order to my life, and they came to the rescue by sending me to Sauder.com. I was about to start an experience — the ‘Sauder Experience’.
Since the Sauder website is smartly categorized, I went right to shelves and organization, then narrowed that down to bookcases. Popular sets were featured at the top, which was helpful for me to get a feel for their styles and sizes.
Even more helpful was the Style Lab, where I took a quiz to find my furniture style. Once I did that, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. I already knew I needed something bigger than what I had been using (obviously,) but that helped me focus in on several collections. I ended up choosing the Estate collection in black.
Using their dimension diagrams, I measured my space to make sure the bookshelves I wanted would fit where I wanted them to fit.
I ordered both a 3-shelf bookcase and a 5-shelf bookcase, and they arrived in just a couple of days in extremely heavy boxes. I barely managed to drag those into the house by myself, so I recommend asking for help (which is definitely what I should have done).
Assembly was time consuming, but simple, if that makes sense. Basically, I’m saying that the instructions were easy to follow and understand.
I made sure I had the entire living room floor clear, so I could spread out all the pieces and have enough space for the unit as it started to come together.
I built the 5-shelf bookcase the first day, and when I stood it upright, I was soooo excited to see how nice it looked, and super proud for having done it all by myself. I built the 3-shelf bookcase the next day.
They look awfully purdy all put together and standing in place, don’t they?
Now to load all the books onto the shelves…stay tuned!
