Are you throwing a New Year’s Eve bash or headed out to one this year? I’ll be at home in my jammies (and no doubt asleep long before midnight) but I do like celebrating. It’s just on a smaller, stay-at-home scale.
This year I decided to dig through my archives and share some of my favorite 2015 recipes and a couple that are perfect for New Year’s celebrations. I hope you enjoy this little New Year’s recipe roundup!
Let’s start with a little good luck! Have you ever heard of Hoppin’ John? It’s a southern tradition, and legend has it that if you eat some on New Year’s Day, you’ll have a prosperous year filled with good luck, and I think that’s worth a shot, right? Besides, it’s delicious!
To fill your new year’s breakfast, brunch and brinner menu….
Apple Cider Pancakes with Apple Crumble Topping
Cheesy Bacon and Egg Flatbread Breakfast Pinwheels
Mixed Berry Cream Cheese Waffle Cakes
To satisfy your sweet tooth…
Double Peanut Butter Cookie Banana Pudding
Strawberry Lemon Cheesecake Bars
Oh, and I almost forgot about the midnight toast on New Year’s Eve. I love this skinny version of a French 75. It’s a champagne cocktail!
Happy New Year everyone!
