This Goji Play blog post was sponsored by Blue Goji but the opinions are completely my own based on my experience.#GetUpAndGojiPlay
There is nothing more boring than walking on a treadmill.
It’s excruciatingly dull beyond belief.
I’ve tried a dozen things to help pass the treadmill time, but there are problems with each one. For instance:
• Covering the display with a towel.
Problem: After what feels like an hour of walking, I peek and see I’ve been at it for exactly 3 minutes.
• Watching TV.
Problem: In order to hear it, I have to turn the volume up so high that I spend the whole time looking over my shoulder in fear of a shiv to the gut from a fellow gym-goer.
• Reading a book.
So I gave up. I resigned myself to a life of treadmill torture.
Until the Goji Play came a-knockin’. Goji Play makes exercise fun, and I’ve never, ever put those two words together in a sentence without cringing before.
The best part about it is that Goji Play gets the whole family off the couch doing something fun! My daughter actually loves working out, but the rest of us… we need a little encouragement.
But Goji Play actually is fun, and more importantly it’s a distraction from the monotony that is cardio. It makes a 30-minute workout feel about thrixtysevenskazillion times faster. With attention-grabbing games to play, 30 minutes of exercise passes before we know it!
The right and left hand controllers magnetically fasten over the handles of a fitness machine or can be wrapped around the included foam rollers and held in each hand.
Using a bluetooth connection, the controllers pair and ultimately control any of the games available through the Goji Play 2 app. Our family favorites are Spin or Die, Super Moto X and Smash the Blocks! Spin or Die is tricky and I stink at it, but the challenge keeps me coming back for more.
There are quite a few other games to play, and more are being added all the time, so there’s no chance of boredom. Plus, you can switch from game to game in the middle of your workout, if you want to try something new.
Goji Play works for a variety of fitness and gaming levels too (ages six and up). My cardio pace on the treadmill is none-too-fast, but my daughter tears it up and my gaming skills are weak while my son is a beast. But the games work for all of us regardless!
Goji Play makes a great holiday gift too! We’ll all be in health and fitness mode come January, so this is the perfect gift to give to anyone on your holiday list!
