Making a Murderer on Netflix

Y’aaaaaalllllllll. Y’all. Y’ALL. I have got a new show recommendation for you: Making a Murderer on Netflix. I saw someone suggest it to one of my favorite YouTubers, LeighAnnSays, and since she and I seem to have similar taste in shows, I checked it out. I’ve written before about how much I love crime TV, and this show satisfies the crime craving perfectly.

Netflix Making a Murderer

Earlier this week I also posted about how my bodybuilding competition prep season has begun, and with prep season comes LOTS O’ CARDIO. Which I hate.

The only way I can keep myself on a treadmill for 20+ minutes is to keep my mind occupied by watching something. For me, it’s best to watch something longer, because watching short bursts of video (like on YouTube) interrupts the flow.

So I prop my iPad or laptop up in front of the display on my trusty treadmill, Tread Milliamson, and go to town.

Tread Milliamson

This is Tread Milliamson.

Anyway, back to the show. It’s a Netflix original series in the same vein as the podcast, Serial (which I’m also obsessed with) in that it follows along with one crime investigation from episode to episode.

It’s centered on one man, Steven Avery, who was convicted of sexual assault and sent to prison. He served 18 years before being exonerated and released because he did not commit the crime, another man did.

There’s much more to the story, but I won’t give it away. If you love learning about crimes, investigations, and mysteries, this show is for you!

I have loved many law and crime shows but sadly I do not have Netflix so don’t think I can see this one. I recently saw it online about a protest or a petition. Not really sure what that is all about, I can only guess they don’t want him making money off it. For a bit I thought maybe he went there innocent but they created a killer. Honestly I have no clue what it is about just guessing from the title. I’m still interested though so hoping it’ll end up on tv too. Doubtful but hey. I was worried they’d take it off Netflix before I got a subscription again because of the petition but that doesn’t look like that is going to happen because everyone is chatting about it.

Nice looking treadmill and I use to love mine being in the same room as the tv because I’d work out more during my shows. I know many say that doesn’t happen but it did for me. I’d also flip on the little ones show and they’d watch their show while I rocked out to my tunes and walked. Hope you are having a great new year.

Watching TV while on a treadmill is an excellent way to make the time fly by faster.

I use to read my favorite magazine. It worked well for me because it covered up the timer, and it gave me a chance to actually read my magazine, which I normally do not find the time to do anymore.

This sounds interesting. We are going to move the treadmill from the detached garage, where it was comfy to use in the summer, back to the house. We have a small woodstove in the front room, but will put the treadmill in a different room. It will be much easier to use it if there is a good show to watch on the laptop.

I need to get to watching this! I slacked because I didn’t know how big it was going to get. If you like this, you should watch Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills. It’s a 3-part HBO documentary series about 3 kids who got sent to prison (one put on death row) for a crime they didn’t commit. It’s crazy.

This show does look freaking gooooooood! I don’t have Netflix, BUT I get movies that Netflix, and other stations have had on at the library. I watched all of Weeds, then moved to Dexter, and now we’re on Orange is the New Black. All were great!

Love your treadmill! I really want to get one this year. I have watched some crime series on I.D. and after reading your review, I will be sure to check this show out. I have to take breaks sometimes because you get so involved with the people they are talking about, it can bring you down a bit.
