This monster bookmarks post was inspired by the upcoming #GoosebumpsMovie in theaters October 15th and sponsored by Fandango Family. All opinions are mine.
Goosebumps is coming to the big screen!
If you know anything about Goosebumps, you know it’s a combination of scary and funny. After all, it was made for kids, so the scare factor is just enough and not too much! (It’s rated PG.)
The arrival of Goosebumps in theaters makes me feel all happy inside, because my kids were of the original Goosebumps generation, and they loved it sooooo much!
I wanted to tie my excitement for the new Goosebumps movie in with my love for the book series which inspired it, so…. here are some monster bookmarks!
Colored construction paper
White poster board
Fine-tipped black permanent marker
1. Trace my free scarecrow pattern (or free-hand draw) five monster body parts – a head, nose, arms, body and feet.
2. Using the marker, draw eyebrows and a mouth on the head, hair and toes on the feet and fingernails on the hands.
3. Glue the body parts onto posterboard with nose overlapping head, head overlapping arms, arms over body, body over feet. Let glue dry; cut out.
4. Draw on eyes and any other finishing details.
5. Tuck inside a book!
First we made scarecrow monster bookmarks because there are scarecrows in the new Goosebumps movie, but then we just let our imaginations take over and made any kind of monster we wanted. It’s fun to get creative!
Look for Goosebumps in theaters beginning October 15th, and be sure to check out the Fandango Family site for more info on the film!
I hope you have lots of scary fun making these monster bookmarks and seeing the movie!
