I love these apple spice cookies any time of the year. Although the season of “Autumn” is apple sauce’s best friend, that doesn’t stop me from being a year-round apple sauce pal.
One of my all time favorite snacks is potato chips dipped in apple sauce. No grimacing!
Dip a chip; you’ll see! I’ve converted a lot of people to that taste sensation.
(Yes, I know some potato chips are terribly unhealthy, but my apple sauce has zero fat or cholesterol and low sodium. So we’re good, right?)
I’ve been substituting apple sauce for oil in my baking for years now. It’s very, very rare that I don’t. In fact, I even do it when I make pancakes and waffles!
So I was more than happy to bake myself a batch of cookies using apple sauce as an ingredient.
