I’ve created such a digital mess!
Here’s my problem. I store all of my photos, videos and documents on my desktop computer which is where I work when I’m home. So far so good.
But, I keep them there. Forever. So my computer gets slower and slower.
And I add more.
And more. And more.
When I’m about to travel (which is a heck of a lot), I have to choose the photos I need to work with while I’m gone, upload them from my desktop to a photo storage site and then when I get to my destination, download them to one of my laptops. And vice versa when I get home from traveling. That means I have the same photos cluttering up and slowing down multiple hard drives.
All the things are everywhere. It’s a disaster, a disorganized digital nightmare.
My Cloud Mirror, take it away!!!!
WD My Cloud Mirror is personal cloud storage that I can access from any of my computers. No need to shuffle photos and documents around anymore. Everything is safely stored and centralized in one device which rests on top of the computer tower in my office.
Setting Up My Cloud Mirror
The cute little 6″-ish tall device was so easy to get up and running. With the quick start 3-step instruction card in the box, I had it going in less than 2 minutes by plugging the My Cloud Mirror into my router and into an outlet. Once it powered up, I went to the website and followed the instructions for setting it up. Bam, in business!
Using My Cloud Mirror
With my account already set up, all I had to do was start dragging and dropping files into My Cloud, and I was surprised at how fast it copied them. All together I had hundreds of thousands of files, so it took hours to move them all completely, but it transferred bunches of them every second. Then I set up MySync, so that any changes I make to those files in the future will automatically sync to the device.
Do you know how much time that’s going to save me? No need to upload anything before I travel anymore. All of my photos and docs are ready, waiting and easily accessible from any of my connected devices no matter where I am.
See, here’s my connected iPhone:
Also, My Cloud Mirror has a dual drive, so everything that gets copied to it gets mirrored into a secondary back-up for twice the protection and twice the peace of mind.
What I really like is that I can remove the photos from my computers and phones to free up space for new ones. I’ll KEEPITCOMING™ with My Cloud Mirror!
And I’m not storing my personal content on someone else’s cloud anymore. This is my personal cloud in my own home, but I can add users and share certain files if I want to. With 4 Terrabytes of space, I can make and share a heck of a lot of memories!
