I found a potato recipe which I knew I had to make for Easter dinner, so I did. It was unbelievably delicious! Seriously.

Sage and Cheddar Potato Gratin

Sage-and-Cheddar-Potato-Gratin

Ingredients

2 tsp McCormick sage, rubbed
1/2 tsp McCormick ground black pepper
3 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 pkg (8oz) shredded Cheddar cheese (2 cups)
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix sage, salt and pepper in small bowl. The recipe calls for thinly sliced potatoes and onions, but I prefer to dice up my onions so that’s what I did.

2. Layer 1/3 of the potatoes and 1/2 of the onion in lightly greased 13×9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 tsp of the sage mixture and 1/3 of the cheese. Repeat layers. Top with remaining potatoes, sage mixture and cheese.

3. Stir broth and cream in medium bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Pour evenly over potatoes.

4. Bake 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and top is golden. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
