After having enjoyed my apple pie smoothie so much, I couldn’t resist giving a smoothie a whirl again but this time with my Hamilton Beach Single-Serve Blender.
The beauty of this blender is that it’s perfect for on-the-go people; it has a snap-on travel lid and smoothies can be sipped right from the jar. It’s a little weird to see the blades when you’re sipping from it, but it’s perfectly safe. The lid also has a slide opening to prevent accidental spills.
It even fits right in a car’s cup holder!
It’s made to be used with a pulsing motion a few seconds at a time, and it blends mixtures smoothly without leaving any chunks. It does work best with soft fruits or a handful of ice cubes, but for a little machine it’s still quite the powerhouse!
I used it the first time to make a strawberry banana smoothie — perfectly yummy.
The cord wraps around the base to store neatly, and it’s small enough so that I just store it in the cupboard along with my drinking glasses.
For the very affordable price, it’s really a worthwhile buy and would make an excellent gift for someone who loves a morning smoothie or protein drink.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 5 oz vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup strawberry preserves
Pulse with blender until ingredients are mixed and smooth.
