Not only did I discover the tastiest, most convenient way to make sweet potato appetizers, I’m using the world’s first superfood toast to do it – Sweet PotaTOASTS from the creators of CAULIPOWER.
This sweet potatoes appetizer post is sponsored by Sweet PotaTOASTS but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
The ready-to-toast sweet potato slices come frozen and all you have to do is pop them in your toaster, toaster oven or air fryer to heat them up, then top them with whatever you’d like. They’re actual slices of real sweet potato.
They’re the best thing since sliced bread, but they’re a clean label, single ingredient bread replacement and they make the ultimate sweet potato appetizers, as you can see.
But because they’re an excellent source of vitamin A&C and a good source of fiber & vitamin B6, I’m planning on serving them for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner too!
Sweet PotaTOASTS (which are gluten-free, vegan and paleo) come in two varieties: Original and Sea Salt & Olive Oil. Look for them in your grocer’s freezer aisle; you can’t miss them with the bright packaging. I found mine at The Fresh Market.
I chose to heat the sweet potato slices in the toaster so I dropped one in each toaster slot and let them toast. I have a really old toaster so it took two cycles to heat them the way I wanted. Timing will vary for everyone.
Now let’s talk sweet potato appetizer toppings.
I topped the roasted sweet potato slices with fresh peach compote, raisins and mini marshmallows. It’s such an unbelievably delicious flavor combination!
And I topped the sea salt & olive oil roasted sweet potato slices with whole berry cranberry sauce, shaved pepper turkey and toasted walnuts. It’s absolutely delicious and tastes like Thanksgiving!
I’m already planning on serving both of these sweet potato appetizers for the holidays. I think they’ll go over in a big, big way. I can’t wait!
There’s no peeling, slicing, cooking… just toasting! Each sweet potato slice is pre-cooked before it’s frozen making it super easy for you to create nutritious sweet potato appetizers everyone will rave over.
And if you need to make a bunch of Sweet PotaTOASTS at once, you can heat them up in the oven. Use the toaster for quick snacks for one or two people and use the oven to prepare a trayful of sweet potato appetizers for a holiday party or gathering this year.
