This creamed chipped beef recipe is wildly delicious! Chunks of cooked beef are smothered in a comforting gravy and served over toast, eggs, potatoes... anything! It's a super easy, cozy meal.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Chop the shaved beef. Add beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and thyme to the skillet and saute until beef is cooked. It will only take a few minutes since the beef is so thin. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Meanwhile, bake Texas toast in the oven according to package directions. Melt butter in the skillet, then whisk in flour, cooking for a minute. Slowly add milk, whisking continuously, and then add cayenne. Let the mixture cook until it thickens a bit and reaches the desired gravy consistency. Add beef back in and heat through.
