I had yuck in my mouth. Yucky stuff. Stuff that’s yucky.
WARNING: Gross Description ahead —-> The inside of my mouth was peeling off in wormy strings.
I’m not kidding.
I noticed it after I started using a whitening mouth rinse. I’d brush, rinse, and swish, and then a little while later I would feel this ookiness in my mouth.
And so I reached inside my mouth and pulled out…MY MOUTH!
My skin was disintegrating into strings. Strings of leprosy. I’m sure of it. (Not really, but it seemed like it.)
So, I did a little research, and apparently I’m not alone. The culprit here is the peroxide whitener in everyday toothpastes and rinses. It’s murdering exfoliating mouth skin everywhere, which then peels off in creepy strings!
How romantic.

Update: I finally found a toothpaste that doesn’t do this. I’ve been using Colgate Max for at least a year and it has never happened. I use both the green and blue box versions.
