Holy shnikeys, you guys! Until I made these apple cinnamon mini donuts, I had never used a food processor ever ever ever in my life.
Why didn’t anyone tell me how much easier it makes things?
Rude.
Well, now that I have one (no thanks to you), I’ll be making this recipe all da stinkin’ time. A girl needs this kind of donut bite delight in her life, I do declare.
I actually have Hamilton Beach to thank for turning me onto the food processor thing. They sent me a Hamilton Beach Stack and Snap™ 10 Cup Food Processor, and it’s so intuitively designed and easy to use, that I was off and running with it in less than 5 minutes.
I love how I can see at a glance which blade I should use and which button to push, so there’s no need to repeatedly check the instruction booklet, and there’s no twisting, turning or locking required just to assemble the food processor.
You can chop, slice, shred, mix and puree pretty much anything. I mean it has a 450 watt bad boy motor. One neat feature is that the blade can be removed easily, but it stays locked in the bowl otherwise, so if you’re pouring something out of it, the blade won’t come tumbling. It’s a simple thing, but so nice.
The feed tube is nice and big too, so there will be less pre-cutting needed when adding ingredients, and who doesn’t want to save time? (Also it has dishwasher safe parts…oh yeah.)
So let’s make some apple cinnamon mini donuts!
It’s a beautiful thing.
Once you’ve mixed everything up in the food processor, spoon the batter into a mini muffin pan and bake. When the mini donuts are done and still warm from the oven, dip them in melted butter and immediately roll in cinnamon sugar.
If you can resist the charms of the donut bites at this point, you’re a better man/woman/dog/cat than me.
