Instant Coffee: 1, Chanelle: 0.

I’m a snob. I’m a beer snob, a music snob, and a coffee snob. I drink my coffee black, so it has to be up to my standards – if it needs additions of cream or sugar to be palatable, I’m not drinking it. When a package from NESCAFÉ arrived at my doorstep with a box of hazelnut instant coffee, I admit I let out a deep sigh of skepticism.

NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice

My opinion of instant coffee was shaped by countless cups of crappy airplane coffee, and that one time I bought a jar of bad instant coffee to keep at my desk and only had one cup before relegating it to the bottom drawer. Nevertheless, I would journey forth and give NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice a fair trial.

Coffee and NESCAFÉ

It’s really easy to make, natch. Just put a spoonful or two into your mug of choice and add hot water – about eight ounces of water per heaping teaspoon will do ya fine. As they suggest, if it’s too strong, add more water. If it’s too weak, add more coffee! I have to say, that is a lot more convenient than remaking an entire pot of coffee when you mess it up.

NESCAFÉ Taster's Choice House Blend

The new glass packaging locks in freshness better than the old plastic packaging, and looks nice on the counter too. 🙂 If you don’t need to make a big batch you can also buy NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice in single serving stick packs as well.

My drive to work is a little slice of me time that I enjoy every morning. I like to drive, and I ESPECIALLY like to drive my new car. I listen to some music or a podcast and sip on my second cup of coffee for the day as I travel the 15 minutes to the office.

NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice

Having this cup of NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice was a nice change to my usual routine! Unlike my usual cuppa, I didn’t have to wait for it to brew, I just mixed it up in less than a minute! Plus, it warmed me up on a rainy day. There are five other roasts and flavors to try, like Hazelnut, French Roast, and Vanilla – something for everyone. I’m impressed, and happy to know that the coffee beans used in all the varieties are responsibly sourced.

I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m thinking about blending a stick pack of the hazelnut flavor with ice cubes and a scoop of chocolate protein powder to make a frozen protein mocha. Sounds good, right?

Would you try a frozen protein mocha with NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice?
