Staying in with the girls can be as much fun as going out on the town, and you don’t have to spend a lot of money to have a great time and a perfect evening.
The classic girls night in often involves watching a romantic comedy or romantic drama (Under The Tuscan Sun is perfect), but how about trying something else?
Whether you choose to go simple or extravagant, we’ve got some ideas to help plan a foolproof party!

Girls Night In Ideas
Clothing and accessories swap – Have everyone bring along a few items that they’re ready to part with, and then go “shopping” from the collection. To be fair, everyone should take turns, and should leave with the same number of items they contributed.
Game night or card night – I used to participate in a monthly Bunco game, and since there’s a bit of musical chairs with Bunco, it’s a great way for everyone to get to know each other. Board games are also a great hit, especially those specifically designated as “party games”.
Recipe swap/Potluck dinner – At holiday time, Christmas cookie exchanges are fun, but at any time of year, bringing a dish to pass gives everyone the chance to taste something new! Each person should bring a copy of the recipe to share with all the guests.
Craft night – Everyone chooses a simple craft and brings enough supplies for everyone to make it. By the end of the evening, each guest will have several finished creations.
Book Club – Choose a book a month in advance, and then chat about it at the party. Odds are, the conversation will meander away from the book, but who cares?!
Wine Tasting/Cocktail Creation – Have everyone bring a bottle of wine to share or the ingredients to make a special cocktail. This idea pairs especially well with a movie.
