1½teaspoonschopped fresh parsleyor ½ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
Instructions
Heat oven to 350°F. Spray rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
In large bowl, stir together all ingredients, using hands or spoon. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Place in pan.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brown. Immediately remove from pan. Serve warm with your choice of sauce for dipping.
Notes
Don't overmix: Mix the ingredients until just combined. Overmixing can result in tough sausage balls.Adjust seasoning: Feel free to add herbs or spices to the mixture for extra flavor, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or red pepper flakes.Shape into balls: A cookie scoop or spoon can help ensure evenly sized sausage balls for even baking. (That said, I usually use my hands and eyeball it.) But, avoid rolling too much; the less the mixture is worked, the more tender the sausage cheese balls will be.
