  • Parmesan cheese

How to Make Bisquick Sausage Balls

Step 1: In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together using hands or a spoon. I find it easiest to use my hands.

Dipping Sauce Ideas

  • Barbecue Sauce: Sweet and smoky barbecue sauce adds depth of flavor and a hint of spice to the sausage cheese balls.
  • Chili Sauce: The spicy heat of the chili sauce adds a sweet and zesty flavor kick.
  • Ranch Dressing: Creamy ranch dressing adds a cool and herby contrast to the richness of the sausage and cheese.
  • Honey Mustard: The sweet and tangy combination of honey mustard provides a delightful contrast to the savory sausage balls.
  • Sriracha Mayo: For those who enjoy a bit of heat, mixing sriracha sauce with mayonnaise creates a spicy and creamy dip that pairs well with the sausage balls.

Recipe Tips!

  • Don’t overmix: Mix the ingredients until just combined. Overmixing can result in tough sausage balls.
  • Adjust seasoning: Feel free to add herbs or spices to the mixture for extra flavor, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or red pepper flakes.
  • Use a cookie scoop: A cookie scoop or spoon can help ensure evenly sized sausage balls for even baking.
  • Bake on parchment paper: Line your baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  • Serve with dipping sauce: Consider serving your Bisquick Sausage Balls with a dipping sauce like BBQ or chili sauce for added flavor.
  • Properly store leftovers: If you have any leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze them for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Bisquick
  • 1 pound pork breakfast sausage
  • 4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese 16 ounces
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon rosemary crushed
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon sage
  • 1½ teaspoons chopped fresh parsley or ½ teaspoon dried parsley flakes

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, stir together all ingredients, using hands or spoon. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Place in pan.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brown. Immediately remove from pan. Serve warm with your choice of sauce for dipping.

Notes

Don’t overmix: Mix the ingredients until just combined. Overmixing can result in tough sausage balls.
Adjust seasoning: Feel free to add herbs or spices to the mixture for extra flavor, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or red pepper flakes.
Shape into balls: A cookie scoop or spoon can help ensure evenly sized sausage balls for even baking. (That said, I usually use my hands and eyeball it.) But, avoid rolling too much; the less the mixture is worked, the more tender the sausage cheese balls will be.
