I’ve been waiting for this kind of weather all summer – mid 70’s with a gentle coastal breeze! This is why I love living in North Carolina.

The dog days are tough, but the last part of summer (and the rest of the year) makes up for it.

I’m so happy to be spending time outdoors again relaxing with an iced tea, a snack, and a great book. I’ve been reading a ton this year (36 books so far, thanks to the pandemic).

I always get a renewed burst of energy at this time of year and fall self-care becomes top of mind.

Fall self-care – activities that help you feel great

  • De-clutter and freshen your space (You’re about to spend months indoors… again… so make sure your home is a comfy, relaxing haven.)
  • Sip on hot tea, hot cocoa or cider
  • Bake with warm spices
  • Make a big pot of chili
  • Light candles
  • Decorate with fall pillows and accents
  • Spend time outdoors (Jump in the leaves, visit a pumpkin patch, go apple picking, stargazing or hiking.)
  • Do yoga
  • Cuddle your pets
  • Switch up your fitness routine
  • Carve a pumpkin
  • Read a new book or reread an old favorite
  • Try a bold new snack

Curious about my bold snack of choice? I love, love, love Blue Diamond Flavored Almonds.

Anyone who knows me knows that almonds are my superfood of choice – I love the satisfying crunch – and Blue Diamond roasts the most delicious flavors.

Blue Diamond almonds

Not only are they perfect while enjoying the outdoors, but they’re also ideal for snacking while on road trips or as a mid-day taste sensation when working from home.

I’m currently obsessed with Smokehouse, Wasabi & Soy and Salt n’ Vinegar.

The roasted and seasoned almonds pack a punch of flavor into a bite-sized mouthwatering snack.

They’re also an American Heart Association certified heart-healthy food!
