The Freelancer Uniform

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can lounge around the house in jeans, and those who can’t. I’m the latter.

Don’t get me wrong, I love jeans. There’s just something restricting about them that makes me want to peel them off as soon as I get home and take my shoes off. So what about when I’m working from home all day and never had shoes on to begin with? Easy…wear leggings instead. Amirite? #GoComfy y’all.

I got to pick out a few things at Kohl’s from Cuddl Duds to add to my collection of comfy clothes. Perfect timing, because you might remember I’m a full-time freelancer now. Not everything makes it into the freelancer uniform rotation, though. I have standards to uphold.

Cuddl Duds softwear v-neck

Softwear with Stretch V-Neck in Black. Also in 8 other colors!

Freelancer uniform rule #1: Must be stretchy.

One of the items I picked was a stretch v-neck in Cuddl Duds’ signature softwear fabric. I don’t know how to describe it other than as soft, smooth, comfy, and not at all see-through. I can wear it alone like I’ve done here, but it’s thin enough to use as a base layer when it gets a little colder.

Cuddl Duds softwear cowlneck

Softwear with Stretch Cowlneck Tunic in Black. Also in 9 other colors.

Freelancer uniform rule #2: Must be versatile.

The second item I picked was a cowlneck tunic. It’s in the same fabric as the v-neck above, but it has a few extra touches like the drapey cowlneck, thumbholes, and high-low hemline. I really like this because it can be worn casually with leggings or dressed up with jeans, heels, and accessories. Tomorrow I’ll be wearing it on my journey to Orlando, FL for its maiden voyage. Looking forward to being cute but warm on the two inevitably freezing-cold planes I have to take.

Cuddl Duds

Softwear with Stretch Cowlneck Tunic in Black and Chevron Marled Crew Socks

Freelancer uniform rule #3: Feet must be warm.

Not gonna lie, I was really excited to be able to pick out two pairs of Cuddl Duds socks for this post. Both of the pairs I chose are extremely soft and warm for padding around the house and will also be great inside boots this winter. The ones I’m wearing in the pic above are called Chevron Marled Crew Socks .

I’m really pleased with the Cuddl Duds items I picked out and I’d definitely purchase more in the future. I’m thinking about getting the v-neck top in a couple of other neutral colors because of the stretchy fit (stretches over my muscular shoulders!) and the generous length of the sleeves. Luckily, Cuddl Duds is easy to find at Kohl’s stores or at Kohls.com.

At Kohl’s stores, you can find tops and bottoms hanging in the intimates section…  and the socks are of course, in the socks section (or sometimes nearby in the aisles on display as gift ideas).

I’m glad I got to add Cuddl Duds to my freelance uniform! Would you #GoComfy and try any of these pieces? Get some here!
