One day, I decided to sneak up on her and watch her to see what in the world she was doing in there while she peed. Turns out, she’s a high pee-er. That’s right, a HIGH PEE-ER. I emptied Mony’s litterbox completely and gave it a nice deep clean outside with the garden hose before I tried the new Fresh Step. Usually Mony likes to jump in and use the box immediately after it’s been scooped, but today she was being stubborn. She must have known I wanted to take a pic. Typical cat.

Using a large container instead of a tradition litter box is genius! Most of our litter ends up on our floor because they kick it all out while they’re trying to bury things! I’ve never tried the fresh step with Febreze but I’m definitely going to keep my eye open for it!

I use Fresh Step litter for our four cats! Not only does it keep odors down throughout the day, but I also really like the price. Having so many cats, paying luxury prices for something like litter just isn’t realistic. I know just what you mean about high pee-ers. Our cat, Vincent, who we lost recently, was a high pee-er and boy did he make some messes before I figured out what was going on!

I am always looking for ways to reduce the letterbox smell! However, I use a Scoop Free letterbox that scoops itself and we only have to change once monthly! Talk about a miracle maker. We love it. But maybe we will start adding a tad bit of febreeze near the letterbox to reduce the smell.

Such a beautiful cat! We have five and they all pee in a different way (amazing what you study when you have pets!) so we have had the leakage issue in the past too. I think they’d be too lazy to jump into a high-sided litter tray though! Thankfully we have tiled floors which are easy to keep clean with all the errant peeing!

I have been using a liter with a scent in it but my cat wants it cleaned after each use or she attempts to clean it out herself–picture cat liter all over the floor! It does give off dust and since I recently began to have asthma I think I will try Fresh Step with Febreeze–I mean I do use Febreeze air freshener so why not try it in cat liter which you say has no dust flying around.-A BIG plus for me. As for my cat–she probably will still want her liter cleaned after each use!

I have a cat that’s also “creative” and we had to build our own litterbox out of a storage box. She will now pee in the litter box, but only poops on the floor. I honestly don’t know what to do with her. We keep it clean, so it shouldn’t smell. Maybe, her sensitive little nose still thinks it’s dirty? We use Fresh Step – maybe I should try one with Febreeze for her?
