Sauce Hair Products Review – Haircare Foodies will Love

I couldn’t resist trying Sauce hair products for a review (shocking because I don’t love writing beauty-based content). My daughter, on the other hand, loves sharing her skincare tips and tricks.

Not me. I’d rather talk about easy recipes and travel.

But, it was food that hooked me into reviewing the Sauce beauty haircare line.

Sauce hair products are made with ingredients and fragrances that tantalize the senses, so basically, it was created with foodies in mind. 😉

Sauce hair products are CLEAN.

The entire line of Sauce beauty products is “clean” — free from sulfates and parabens and everything is made to be color-safe, something that’s especially important to me.

I tried three different Sauce haircare products: Intense Repair Shampoo, Intense Repair Conditioner and the Deep Moisture Hair Mask.

What I Want/Don’t Want in a Shampoo and Conditioner

Not only does it infuriate me when shampoos strip away the color I pay a fortune for every five weeks, they often clean the hair but leave it feeling dry and brittle. I have thick, coarse and wavy hair prone to frizz, so I really need intense moisture to combat the harshness of my ongoing color treatments. (Darn that gray hair!)

And I want a conditioner that leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturized without weighing it down.

Sauce Beauty Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner

If you’re scent-sensitive like me, you’ll be glad to hear that the fragrances in all of the Sauce hair products I tried smelled fantastic and did not give me headaches. The Chimichurri Mint Tingle shampoo made with mint and peppermint oil was invigorating. Peppermint is my favorite scent on the planet!

The formula is made for medium to coarse hair or hair that’s highly processed or damaged. It works to help repair damage, restore moisture and help soothe and calm the scalp. The shampoo lathers well and cleans beautifully while I enjoy a dose of aromatherapy.

Using this shampoo is the best part of my morning routine. I love it!

The Coconut Oil, Banana and Jarrah Honey conditioner is also made for medium to coarse hair or highly processed or damaged hair. It’s extremely moisturizing, helps repair damage and smooths and defrizzes. I almost always let my hair air dry and I’ve been really happy with how much less frizz I have now that I’m using this conditioner.

I really feel like I’ve found a great shampoo and conditioner duo. My hair feels much happier and healthier!

Sauce Beauty Deep Moisture Mask

Along with shampoo and conditioner, I like to use an intense conditioning product for an extra dose of moisture at least once a week because my hair is so parched from color treatments,

So I have been trying the Guacamole Whip Mask and I’m loving it! It’s deeply moisturizing!

It’s made with avocado, Jarrah honey, argan oil and monoi oil to moisturize, repair and smooth.

Sauce Deep Moisture Mask

After shampooing and conditioning, I scoop a dollop of the product from the tub and work it through my whole head of hair. I leave it on for 3-5 minutes (during which I shave my legs and underarms to kill time) and then I rinse it out. My hair feels so soft and pampered from using the mask but it doesn’t feel heavy or weighed down at all.

It definitely makes a difference in helping to tame those frizzies too. I love this stuff and it smells SO good!
