The Little Prince Cupcakes

I read The Little Prince for the first time in French, yes completely in French. Actually, now that I think about it, I’ve never read it in English. Huh. But anyway, I’ve always adored the sweet and magical tale, so I couldn’t resist making The Little Prince cupcakes to celebrate the classic tale. It really is a precious story.

And these cupcakes are kinda precious too.

The Little Prince Cupcakes recipe - on tray

Start by baking a batch of your favorite cupcakes using gold cupcake liners, and let them cool completely. To make the blue frosting, I mixed food coloring paste into a tub of ready-made white frosting: 3 drops royal blue, 3 drops violet and a smidge of black.

I’ll be the first one to admit that I’m not a frosting expert. I have a preschool frosting degree, and we’re all just going to have to be ok with that.

Once the cupcakes are frosted, sprinkle some edible gold glitter stars on top

Then add a little red candy rose to each one.

All that’s left is to grab the book or queue up the movie and enjoy a fun family night with The Little Prince cupcakes!
