Thanks to Lisa for the suggestion to put together a soothing yoga flow for Workout Wednesday! I thought it was a great idea since summer’s over now and it’s back-to-school season, and quite frankly there’s a lot of stress flying around.
Toward the end of high school and in the beginning of college, I did yoga every single day. I read a lot of books and tried a lot of videos, and found that my favorite flows were the ones that moved slowly with the breath. If you focus on your breathing, you find yourself in a calmer, more relaxed state of mind at the end, and that’s just what I needed during a stressful time in my life.
Yoga doesn’t take up very much space since you can do it anywhere you can fit a yoga mat, and the improved flexibility and muscle tone are big bonuses. I hope this simple and relaxing flow helps you manage your everyday stress. Namaste. 🙂

My cute outfit for this post is brought to you by InkNBurn, an athletic-wear company whose designs I have been admiring for years! All of their clothing is specially created with features that any athlete would appreciate, like sweat-wicking material and hidden pockets for keys, and their designs are all limited-edition, so if you see something you like, you should click “buy” now!
I’m wearing the Atalanta camisole, which, aside from the gorgeous colorful design, also features a shelf bra with a pocket inside for a key! Perfect especially for runners who need to travel light for those long runs.
I also have on the wildflower capris. I’ve never seen sportswear like this before – it’s printed to look like denim, complete with trompe l’oeil pockets on the tush.
My favorite part is the flower design on the left leg. Yep, it’s pretty, but that leaf shape also highlights the shape of my legs and makes me look more muscular. Always a bonus in my book. The other leg has a slim pocket that’s perfect for a smartphone.
