Black Forest Cookies with Dried Cherries – Recipe Tips!

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips: For the best flavor, choose a good-quality dark chocolate with at least 60% cocoa. It will add a rich, deep flavor that complements the cherries beautifully. I use these Ghirardelli chocolate chips. The bittersweet flavor is perfection and they’re kinda chunky!
  • Adjust the cherry size: Chop the dried cherries to your preference for texture. I like them coarsely chopped for bigger bursts of chewiness.
  • Use a cookie scoop: Use a 1.5 tablespoon cookie scoop for evenly sized cookies and don’t press them down once dropped onto the cookie sheets.
  • Storage tip: Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
