Easy Tuna Salad with Crackers Recipe

If you’re looking for an easy tuna salad recipe that’s a bit different from the rest, you’ve come to the right place.

I make my tuna salad with crackers!! I don’t mean that I serve it on top of crackers—that’s extremely common—I mean, crackers are an ingredient in my recipe.

I think adding the crackers takes away the “fishy” taste and lends a smoother texture to the tuna salad mixture itself. And it’s delicious!

Tuna Salad Ingredients

  • chunk light tuna in water
  • dill pickles
  • celery
  • saltine crackers
  • black pepper
  • salt 
  • oregano
  • onion flakes
  • red wine vinegar
  • mayonnaise

How to make tuna salad with crackers

In a large bowl, break apart the canned tuna chunks with a fork, then mix in the rest of the ingredients except mayonnaise.

Add mayonnaise and stir in with fork. Add additional mayonnaise for a creamier texture.

Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least an hour. Stir again after chilling.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 9-ounce can chunk light tuna in water drained
  • 2 tablespoons dill pickles finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons celery finely diced
  • 8 saltine crackers crushed fine
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • â…› teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon onion flakes
  • 1 ½ teaspoons red wine vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, break apart the tuna chunks with a fork, then mix the tuna with the remaining ingredients, except mayonnaise
