This yummy Turkey and Sweet Potato French Fry Casserole combines the irresistible natural sweetness of oven-baked sweet potato fries with the rich creaminess of herb-infused cream of chicken soup, tender green peas, succulent bites of ground turkey, and a generous blanket of melted cheddar cheese. Each forkful yields a burst of savory goodness.

It’s a scrumptious twist on the classic Tater Tot Casserole recipe.

Turkey and Sweet Potato French Fry Casserole Directions

Step 1: Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add ground turkey stirring to break up clumps, until no longer pink.

Step 2: In a large casserole dish, combine the turkey, half of the sweet potato fries, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, and peas. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3: Mix everything together so the flavors get all jumbly.

Step 3: Put the remaining French fries in a layer on top and bake 50-60 minutes until the turkey and sweet potato french fry casserole is heated through and the fries have crisped on top.

Nope, not necessary!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground turkey (can substitute chopped leftover Thanksgiving turkey breast)
  • 1 pkg sweet potato french fries thawed and divided in half
  • 1 10.5 oz can Cream of Chicken with Herbs condensed soup
  • 15 oz can peas drained
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In frying pan, cook ground turkey until completely done.
  • In large casserole dish, combine ground turkey, half of the sweet potato crinkle fries, condensed soup, peas and cheddar cheese. Mix together. Layer remaining half of crinkle fries over top.
  • Bake 50-60 minutes uncovered, until heated through and fries have crisped.
